New Members Wanted (the Coastal Areas Of The Gulf Of Mexico)
I would like to invite photographers and artists on FAA to check out our group (The Coastal Areas of the Gulf of Mexico) and join our membership. I started the group a few months back and it got off to a slow start due to my restricting the location to a small area of Northwest Florida. I recently expanded the criteria for the group to now cover the entire coastal area of the Gulf of Mexico and the membership numbers began to grow. The number of new members has slowed and I've created this discussion to put it back in view and to ask anyone who reads this to please visit our group page, review the images and consider becoming a member. A group is only as big or active as it's membership and I think this one can be one of the best on FAA.
Images submitted do not have to be related just to the beach or the waters of the gulf. They can include the wildlife and water fowl of the coastal area, boats, businesses, buildings, homes, landscapes, people and almost anything that would relate to the area. Images can also be of surrounding areas of the gulf that would be interesting to the viewer (for example, I have one member that shares images of her favorite bass fishing lake situated inshore of the gulf).
I review images daily and try to feature many of them on the home page. I also rotate the featured images and keep them to a limit of 35, making them easier for visitors to view and offering good exposure to the members. I ran one contest already and plan to run them at various times during the year to also enhance exposure of your art.
I hope you'll check us out and join if interested. If you do like what you see and join, please refer others you know on FAA to do the same.
Thanks,
Terry Cobb
