Have you tried submitting through the group instead of through your image edit? I know that many of the group administrators have been calling for an end to the member ability to upload through the image edit because that is what allows people to submit more than the group limits on a given day.

If you submit through the group and the group has a one-a-day limit, that's all the system will permit you to submit in a 24 hour period. (And yes, this also prevents you from submitting if you happen to try on a day the administrator has accepted another of your images and the 24 hours is not up yet - but that's another issue.)
But if you submit through the image edit or upon upload of an image, you can completely ignore the group guidelines and submit 10 images in one day if you want, even though the group limit is one.
Because you routinely only submit one a day to ANY group, RC, even those that allow three or five, you personally have never been a "problem" to any group administrator. Unfortunately, as I understand it, some members do abuse this, intentionally or not. And this means the group administrators have to spend lots of time making sure that the group limits restrictions for their group are honored and enforced.
