My 5th addition to my new " What IF ? " gallery:
What IF... you could travel back in time ? Where, or better when - would you go? Perhaps many of us would just simply like to go back to the days of our childhood, when we were not burdened with the pressures and responsibilities of being an adult. Back in time when our lives were much simpler, more fun and when everyday things were cheaper than they are today. Not so long ago, popular soft drinks that were a real treat because they quenched our thirst and " Hit The Spot " , could be bought for only 5 cents. Those were some of the " Good Old Days " that I remembered, when I found a... Vintage Pepsi Cola Sign.

Another beautiful summer day in L/A. That would be Lewiston/Auburn, Maine. Not THE LA. You know, on the other coast.

Loved this autumn in Maine, as it's length and color afforded many opportunities for photographers and painters, like this image in Brunswick, Maine.

Living in Arizona for 12 years before moving to Maine, we learned a lot about the native plants and this one, called the Jumping Cholla, is one to avoid even getting near to.
But it does make for a nice photographic subject. Taken on a recent return vacation to AZ.

My 7th entry for my new " What IF ? " gallery:
What IF... you lived during a time many years before cell phones had been invented ? How could family, friends or your boss contact you, if you were not at your home or your place of work? Well they simply could not do so and many times that was a good thing. Before we all had little phones to carry with us everywhere in a pocket, or a purse, we had to find something called a telephone booth. It was a tiny closet-like room with a telephone inside and a folding door to close for private conversations. They also provided a place for Clark Kent to quickly change out of his Daily Planet news reporter suit and tie, into his Superman tights and cape. Perhaps one day I discovered a telephone booth for ladies only sign, or did I just really mess up and go outside the lines when I created another illusion of ... A Brick Wall Of Colors ?

Baby Blue Jay appears both innocent and wise. Not a flutter and stoic as the blue bird watched the photographer. Photograph digitally painted with added overlays and textures as fine art photography.
An old wood and stone barn in the winter Kansas rural countryside still functional for bird stock. Photograph processed in black and white with a hint of color re-added, and digitally painted with added textures as fine art photography.
A bright, cheerful Prairie Enchantment in a impressionistic, simplified style. Prairie Enchantment is a photomontage consisting of prairie, sky with clouds, sunflowers, and flowers with grass photos arranged and layered in a composite. Also, elements such as butterflies, fence post, bird, tree, and fruit hanging from tree included. Image digitally painted with thick paint along with textures, grain, and canvas added.

I got a kick out of this little guy who showed up during one of my plein air painting sessions. He seemed to be intrigued by the dinghies in the cove and I could only imagine what was going through his mind. Day dreams perhaps?

I really like bright colors and with the magic of computers, I may sometimes get carried away.
What IF... a historic and very popular market in the heart of Ohio's third largest city no longer existed ? I mean a lot of bad things can happen in over 160 years. Like our country's Civil War, World War I, the Great Depression and World War II, just to name a few. Then of course there are natural disasters like tornados, lightning strikes, fires and who knows what else could happen in all of those years. However still today the historic iron framework building that houses a wide array of locally grown produce, fresh meat, cheese, and too many other good things to mention, is still here. This is just one of the colorful entrances to Findlay Market which has been serving the people... In Cincinnati Since 1852.

I guess everyone must be waiting for the new December discussion. Anyway, here is one I just finished from my trip to Southern California last year.
Available in color or a Black & White version.
Once upon a time, leaders of European countries sent their sailors out into the oceans to find the New World. Spain once settled and owned a large portion of the American southwest so that history and influence remains quite strong today. Especially in the architecture of the old Spanish Missions and even in the style of new buildings. These structures are abundantly rich in earth tones, wood beams, tile roofs, textured adobe or stone walls and beautiful rounded openings like these. I truly enjoyed my time in this area and now long to return just to enjoy the beauty of the many...Arches Of Southern California.
