How To Promote My Fine Art Account Or Modify My Artworks Through Fine Art America!

Hi everyone,

I am a quite fresh guy for fine art america. I really hope to sell some of my artworks to support my hobbies, like upgrading my gear. But I really have no idea to promote my artworks. Did any one sell any of their artworks over here? And how did you do that? And how many have you sold over here?

Thanks!

Ray

Art Prints
your description should be about the piece - and not the link, that won't help you. you need more keywords. the saying on the bottom of the piece may limit who wants this. there may be printing issues on the piece

i'm not going to say how many i sold here, as it won't matter to you much. it really depends on the work you have. you have to be selective as to what you upload here, zoo snap shots won't do as well as say, going out in the field and shooting them first hand. family snaps may not sell that well because people want their own kids on their wall. pictures of cars inside of showrooms, probably won't do as well as something taken outside.

a bio that describes what you do, and not one that says you basically want money.

If those children sitting on the bench are not your kids, then make sure you get model releases from their parents. You can get in trouble selling pictures of other people's children.

Joy... you can sell works of people as "fine art" without releases... it is only if you are selling for commerical purposes that model releases are necessary.

That may be so, Diana, but we do remove many images when upset parents contact us

Oh... I am sure, Isabella! If I take photos of children and the parents don't like me doing so, I will always erase them from my camera.

Sorry, but to me that image of the three kids looks snapshotty...not fine art. These days I would never photograph children without permission, no matter what the law states.

Thanks everyone for your kind answers. Just in case, I changed that image with three kids for no sale. But I am a little confused over here and got a new question. According to your answers, whether does it mean we cannot sell the photos with a real people inside, if we don't get his/her permission, even if the photos are taken from his/her behind?

That is fine if people are not recognisable

A crowd is fine, I believe, like you took a photo of an event and people are in it and not singled out..... Depending if in a public venue. I do know that if you took a photo of my back, actually focusing on me, but it showed my tattoo.... I'm recognisable then.

I also know that Joy and Diane are both right....

Yes, it is as confusing as that lol
