Twitter Postings That Are Automated

I will be the first to admit that I don't fully understand Twitter...what I do understand though is that people search it using hashtags...I like the fact that I can post a clip to Twitter when I upload a new piece, but I am finding myself going back and re-posting with hashtags...do you think the double postings is akin to spam and should I just be turning off the auto posting? Thoughts? Thanks...

kind of a waste of time. do it manually the first time. i don't have auto posting on for twitter. i do on facebook though. with twitter i want to be in full control. i want to remove all the fineart references that lead people back to the main site. and only have my own tags.

Do it manually every time and sort the hashtags the first time

Thanks for the replies...I turned it off and will just do it manually.
