Opinions For My Art

Hi there, I've been a member of FAA since about August and when I first joined I didn't know quite at first what you could all do on here. I mainly was looking for a place to communicate and chat with other artists but it turned out way more then that. But when I loaded my first images they'll weren't quite high resolution. So recently I got a scanner for my birthday. I've been busy scanning new art work and yesterday replaced the other images with new high resolution images. Now I'm looking for opinions on my art, both good and bad. I want to make sure that these images are okay. I'm still working on it so please pay attention to just my watercolor paintings and oil pastel drawings. I have three photographs I haven't decided how to fix yet and three acrylic paintings that aren't fixed yet. Here's an example of one of my watercolor paintings, I finished it just recently:

it looks clear, i'm not fond of the name and date in the upper corner though. kind of distracting and kills the negative space. you need more keywords.

i guess you didn't get to this one yet. blurry, crop issues, uneven focus

these photos you have - they are all out of place. i'd bin em. this is blown out, has one keyword. overall if someone found you with this image, its doubtful they would want to see the rest. as a photo its not a picture of anything at all. background is i guess a school? the ice isn't in focus and the sunset is blanched out.

so anyway, get rid of the photos. add more tags, scan the work in twice the size you have it set to now so you can print larger pieces. finish scanning the others in. they won't print the way they are. i saw a wolf, the one above and on that line and below i guess.

I like this one

Your pricing for the larger sizes looks really low. Otherwise I agree with Mike, ditch the photos, they don't fit with the rest of your work and use more tags

I agree with what has been said here including Mike's pointing out the name/date in the upper right....that totally takes away from the image.

I like your cute animals and think if you keep at them and develop a full portfolio of them, they can sell. Perfect to fill a child's room for instance. The more you have, the more likely one buyer will purchase a set.

Thank you Mike, I had not thought of the name in the upper right corner being a problem, I'm not sure I'll be able to fix that but I'll make sure to keep it in mind for the future. The acrylic paintings have not yet been finished.
I'm see to it about the photographs, they aren't quite my style but I had though them interesting.
The American Goldfinch is a favorite among many and I'm glad you like it, thank you.
Thank you Xueling for your comment, view and posting. Restless Kitty I struggled on but I didn't give up on it till I thought it was enjoyable.
Thank you Sharon for your comments, I actually do have around 50 some watercolors and other pictures to load up and I can't wait to really get my portfolio filled up plus I'm continuing to fill it up.

digitally you can correct the name. but if you sell the original it will be a surprise.

just keep in mind that every single image you send here, represents you. and if people stumble into your site, be sure its something you want to show them or you might lose a customer. interesting isn't enough. the image has to be on the same level as the other things you have. and only having a few of those won't help much either. its a consistent body of work that you want.

I agree with Mike. Also, I am not fond of artists signing their image in bold pen/etc..... I think the signature should be soft and sublte.
