Images from about ten years ago. Both were photographed with a Zone VI 4x5 field camera on Tri-X. I process the scanned negatives to minimize grain and noise while bringing out details in shadows,

This is Frankie a black Cocker Spaniel rescue dog. He is supposed to be my boyfriends dog :-) He loves going to the park and playing in the leaves. I actually snapped this last year and recently rediscovered it. Frank recommends that everyone adopt a dog.

This edgy stuff is new to me. Don't tell anyone, but I like it. I am 70 and I could lose my AARP card.

Beautiful park Luzhaki (Brno, Czech Republic) - one of the oldest parks in Europe - its truly inspirational place for photography.
So here some images from one foggy moring:

As the moon was rising and the sun was setting, I took this photograph at 6:24 p.m. on September 27. It was the night of the full harvest moon that would be referred to as the "Blood Moon - Total Lunar Eclipse". I opted out of capturing the latter hours later and chose to get the moon coming over the horizon.

Taken from State Pier, I was standing near the Mayflower II when I took this. I zoomed towards the moon coming up between two of the beach cottages on Plymouth Beach.

When I visit Paris I always go to the Centre Pompidou (also called Centre Beaubourg), not so much because of the exhibitions of modern art but because of the interesting building.

A haunted house complete with black cats, flying bats,evil eyes, flying witches,stormy clouds, lightning, and a full moon! A message in dripping blood on the side of the house warns to "GET OUT". I gave the mostly mono-toned image a bluish tint to enhance the nighttime atmosphere. Just the image you need for Halloween!

Autumns Colorful Reflection North Carolina

This shot of Edmonton, Alberta was taken from the riverbank of the North Saskatchewan River. It was a perfect Autumn evening, with the sky blazing red and orange hues that reflected in the calm, evening river.

I spent a couple of days in Cinque Terre on my way to Florence. I took the time to move around, those wonderful villages are not big at all, and was lucky to find this beautiful spot right when the sun was reflecting through the clouds in the sea. The image is actually back-lit.

I also visited Siena from Florence. Just half a day, enough to take a taste of that beautiful city and to leave willing to return. This is the Piazza del Campo, where the famous horse-race known as the Palio takes place twice a year, shot from the Torre del Mangia.

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is truly an awesome wonder of nature. As the Yellowstone River winds it's way through this National park in northwestern Wyoming, the forces of water, wind and gravity continue to take their toll. At a popular lookout point near the top of the canyon and close to the edge, a dying tree with roots exposed has persevered and is very tenaciously... Just Hanging On.

This spectacular sunset was taken on Christmas Day in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Canmore, Alberta, home to the famous Three Sister mountains, is a beautiful and quaint little resort town.

I just shot this today while on vacation on the Oregon Coast. It took a lot of patience but I finally got a shot of these illusive little guys. The Anna's Hummingbirds aren't as easy to photograph as the Ruby throated hummingbirds I'm used to on the East Coast but that could be because they aren't as used to me as the ones we feed all Spring And Summer in Virginia. :)

An early morning celestial gathering of the moon, Venus, Mars and Jupiter, over the skies of western Connecticut. The starburst effect of the moon and Venus is rendered in camera by using a very small aperture setting, not a photoshop effect.

I took this shot of the goose with my camera during a very warm Christmas year in Canmore Alberta, home to the famous Three Sister mountains in the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains.
