Please stipulate that you do not mind good or bad.....

You may get both and we need your permission to say the truth and not just say everything is lovely

13. If you ask for feedback you WILL get it, good and bad. Please do not run to Moderators when people have respectfully given you what you asked for. Be warned. Forum Rules

If you want to say anything, please feel free to. I understand that people can look at the same thing and have different views. Love your work, Isabella.

Thanks Shana. Love the energy in your paintings.

Stacey, I love your portfolio! Artistic and decorative, there's an audience out there that will eat these images up! Especially this big, cool, kitty --

Robert, you have been here long enough to know why I said that. I'm fed up with people coming on asking for critiques basically and then getting upset when they get them, and actually leaving the site as people don't say what their family did.

I was pretty sure there's nothing bad here as the work itself is lovely, but JUST IN CASE I want all feedback requests to come with a definitive okay from the requester. Up to them after that lol

Thank you Nathan for taking time to review my site.

It's true everyone deals with criticisms differently. Some people instantly know it's not personal, while others are defensive.

Hi Stacey.
You have some really great images.
I would suggest that you make galleries to sort your images and have your home page open on them.
As you get more images having galleries makes it easier for people to find what they are looking for

Stacey,

The best defense is a strong offense. Artwork all of it is problematic. I go on the offensive. Has nothing to do with taking it personally.
People do say things even as artists that are out and out nonsense. On the other hand I have improved because of stronger technical
criticisms. So I have gotten things out of critiques.

You can not get only likes and learn much.

This image has a serious problem as a cut and paste.

I commend your efforts, but I am afraid I am not a fan. The overall body of work is too cutesie, too polite, too decorative, best suited for table top cutouts at a child's birthday party. One's thought process is not challenged or enticed by the overlays of glitter color, patched-worked imagery, and innocuous nursery rhyme style. Then again, perhaps your goal is to satisfy the never-dying system of reproduced imagery suited for children's books and wallpaper decorations, resisting a more opinionated audience. If so, there's hope. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for all your perspectives. It's okay to have different opinions. I respect the fact that artists choose different ways of expressing their art based on their different personality and backgrounds. That makes the world a better place.
