Is There A "proper/official" Name For This?

Does anyone know if there a proper name for this style of graphic art? I was wanting to include it in my keywords. Thanks!

I thought about pop art, but to me, at least, I think of Dean Russo's dogs. Not sure about line drawing...I'll have to google that one.

Lol, Mike...just a coincidence that I chose those colors and in the original photo the dog is a boy. I didn't want anything too psychedelic or girlish for this one. Although I have "election colors" in my keywords. I did have "patriotic colors" but changed my mind about that as it seemed too misleading.

Thanks Ken...I'll add that one.

Here's the art style keywords I have so far: graphic art,graphic illustration,dog art,psychedelic art,pop art,vector art,line art,line drawing,vector graphic

Colorforms? or Patchwork Paste-on?

Sharon, my first thought was that it did remind me of Manga art. In looking at some samples there seem to be some similarities in style.
Also, coincidentally, or not, it reminds me of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa", by Hokusai, with some of the dog's fur, especially around the collar area.

Some of your other graphic pieces do have a pop art look, almost like Peter Max, a few.

- I said "coincidentally", wondering if Japanese traditional art influenced modern Manga, but maybe that's a given?

I know this is slightly off topic, but perhaps you should also include keywords such as "best friend", "family pet" etc... Think about what a buyer may search for.

Kenneth...I remember colorforms from when I was a kid. I used to love the smell of them.

Ken...Hokusai, Manga, Peter Max...I had to look them up as I've never heard of those artists before.

I think I'm going to stick to this style, whatever it is. I've tried digital painting and I'm on pins and needles the entire time. I find this style relaxing and "familiar."

Thank you, Richard!! I was so hung up on the graphic keywords that I completely forgot about those types. I do have them in my photographs of dogs.

a descriptive word that comes to my mind is stylized, although I am not sure how many people would put that in as a search word. It is not exactlly a genre. I also agree with poster style , and pop art, which have already been mentioned.

I agree with Ken, it's posterized. I would definitely include "pop art" in my keywords tho.

Yes, I would use "pop art". I didn't mean to say it wasn't pop art-like,
just maybe not as "pop-arty" as some of your other work.
