Stand Alone Shopping Cart Customization
I'm a new FAA member, but a15 year web design & dev professional and am working on a project that will be using your Stand Alone Shopping Cart. The functionality is great, but the level of customization available is still pretty rudimentary. I know this is a rather new feature and expect it will improve with time, but here are a few items I'd suggest for the top of the visual improvement list that I've noticed working with my implementaion:
1) Fonts and font shadows - Professional artists like consistency and control, so forcing the Oswald font into a more elegant layout isn't pretty - and font shadows, while fairly new to CSS are stylistically pretty dated. It would be nice to either be able to override the font choices with local CSS (impossible right now since you've hard-coded the css font styles directly inline with your code rather than from an external style sheet), along with the ability to turn off the font shadows.
2) While some may think the big blue 1990's style arrow buttons are a cute touch, not every website/artist will want these. It would really nice if all the icons and button graphics were updated to an icon font like FontAwesome -- which would be much more up to today's design standards, are css responsive and widely used.
3) On the single product page, if you click on the Frame button below the product image, it expands a modal window which has a fixed pixel width -- so if the containing div is narrower some of the modal window is lost at the edges (see attached screenshot). This should be updated to be responsive like the rest of the cart.
So far, those are my only visual suggestions. As I said, I love the functionality and am so excited with the ability to integrate directly, but a little more customization options would be huge.
Thanks!
