Thank you Jessica, I wasn't sure if it was too washed out. But wanted to give it a dreamy feel.

The art is wonderful and well done. I like the contrast of the dark realistic eyes with the pastel paint splashes of color used for the hair not like the bright colors normally seen. The variance of paint strokes add a lot of texture and interest. As long as it is legal to sell Jim's image then it is a plus to your repertoire. I believe digital art is every ounce as legitimate as traditional painting. This piece shines in support of that theory!

Do you use a lot of different brushes to get the variances?

I love the colour in this piece :) However I do feel as if his right eye is a little bit isolated when compared to the rest of the image, almost like it has just a little too much flat, negative space surrounding it for the great contrast it presents. But overall the composition is great and, like Suzanne said, the different types of brush strokes make the image pop even more

The colors are all wrong for Jim... They need to be from a darker palette. Just my opinion of course ;O)

Hiya Ryan,

I love your art Ryan, especially your Triptychs. I think it looks great just the way it is. It looks like a real winner to me. Your sense of design stands out in all your art.

I'm in agreement with Bob Galka. Although the work is good and the colors are attractive, I don't picture the Morrison character with these light airy colors.

I think of your image as a heavenly Jim Morrison!

LOL - Hey Brian....for folks our age (over 30)...I think your comment is correct. When I close my eyes for a vision of morrison, I see a dark figure puking his brains out or crawled in a corner in a featl postition. But who knows what looks good to the masses and for what reason since most on the planet has no clue who jim morrison is or what he even looked like or what his life was about, I think the the image above is good. Geeez...that stupid Che Guevara image sells like hot cakes - people ( under 30) buy it without having any clue as to the type of murderous socialist radical the guy was....good grief

Ryan , I like where you are going with it. JMHO

Ryan when I commented on your portrait, I connected it with Morrison's music- not his lifestyle. Hell, the guy was thrown out of places for making a nuisance of himself as a result of being so high on drugs. But, there's an old saying that goes like this, "Don't put the personalities above the principles." I was taught that in AA over and over so that I would listen to anybody and accept their opinions for what they were and not notice the fact that they had holes in their clothes and smelt like they hadn't brushed their teeth in weeks. It worked for me.

I like your portrait of Morrison in connection with his music and not his lifestyle.
