Critique And Suggestions

Dear All,
Although I joined FAA in 2013, I never really actively participated or tried to sell anything. Now that I am more serious about it I have added some pictures and hoping to sell.
I would request you to please critique my pics and help me with suggestions as to how to start/improve selling here??

Many thanks in advance for your time.

Cheers

Kamelesh,

I am not a photographer, so use as much salt as you like. lol

Your images are excellent, so I chose what I feel is a weaker shot. Harder to find in your case.

There is supposed to be a constant tension in a photo between the sky and the land. I believe in using that tension to
be expansive by giving the sky a focal point. In this shot you capture the side of the fountain. No matter what is on the ground,
fountain, trees, cliffs, etc....it is still only the ground. A shot of the ground. No one can ever change that a shot of the ground is a shot
of the ground.

From my personal experience, it's the angle from which the camera shoots a subject or scene.

at first glance i see them selling

Photography Prints
you might want a more rich description for this

Photography Prints
this is a bit slanted

Art Prints
also slanted, but this one looks totally out of place quality and location wise.

Sell Art Online
also tilted, these older ones need more words and descriptions

always start people in galleries. as you build more locations up divide them up by country.

Your images are excellent and ALL of them are salable.

If you are not selling I would guess that it has very little to do with your images and a lot more, if not everything, to do with your advertising and marketing plan.

Julie, you should consider opening your own thread if you want a critique, but after looking for a few minutes, I would give you the same advice as above. That is of course if you are looking for a critique in part to improve selling.

Marketing and advertising out side of FAA.

You have nice looking images. You have a few where your horizon is slanted. Straighten those out and you will be money.

Im not sure if its your preferred style but most of your images look far too over saturated for my liking. No issues with your composition skills though. Very jealous that you have visted such stunning locations.

Julie, it is considered very rude to hijack someone's thread. Open your own to get your own critiques (post removed)

Thank you everyone for the valuable comments. I will try to be more attentive towards the horizon and will try to correct the existing ones as well.
Thanks Floyd for the links. They are quite helpful.
@Stewart: I feel fortunate to be able to visit new places and I guess I have a affinity towards more saturated images :)

Although many of the buildings are impressive they are often simply centered in the frame. I find it more interesting if there is some tension between negative and positive space. I'd almost always go for some more tension by not centering your subjects. Portraits may be an exception but even there it's more exciting to offset an image and not center it. Some use the rule of thirds. Maybe a good rule of thumb but not strictly something we need to adhere to. Every rule can be broken.
