Mac,
I am looking at your art for the first time. Hats off to you. Some very serious fine art. Very bold and interesting.
You need to study the economics of galleries. The economics are different than being on FAA. Often in the US the deal with a gallery
might be 50% of the sale goes to the gallery. And the artist pays for the print or the original, the costs are born by the artist.
With a POD there is no cost. The print is only made to order. You get your take and you have no cost for materials.
As you find your niche you make comparisons on what works and does not work for you. Remember with licensing you can have a second life for your
art later on. There recently was a discussion about gallery chains I guess it was that will sell Giclee prints, often limited edition signed, if your art is very
salable. And that could mean anything, not just plain jane decor.
Each gallery deal over here is different, somewhat.
Will Galleries find you here? Be very careful. The fake vanity galleries will find you. There is a constant stream of people trying to scam artists.
That said to sell you need to learn what resources you need to learn from.
You are an easy sell to many galleries in London I would imagine. As the body of works gets larger your confidence will probably rise.
Google is your best bet for researching who you want to sell to in the gallery world.
If you decide to sell higher priced originals in a good gallery you CAN NOT have a conflict of prices between the gallery and FAA. The gallery will
probably find out and drop you if you make that sort of mistake.
