New/old Pen Artist Looking For Opinions

Hello, my name is Lester and I've decided to take up drawing again.

A bit about me is that I've been playing around with drawing since I was a kid. When I was younger I drew anything from my mind that was either cartoons to American Indians. I like mostly drawing in pen and using it to outline my pictures. Sometimes I'll color them in, sometimes not. I remember a time back when the Beatles first came out, I would draw them out and my fellow peers found it quite amazing, I sold pictures for .25 cents a drawing. I've drawn off and on all my life, accept for the past few years where I felt it wouldn't take me anywhere. Just recently I decided to give another go at it, and though I feel my art will mainly be always as just a hobby, I like drawing for other people not myself.

My son thought I should get some opinions from other artists so he's help me find a place on the internet where I can get that, here in fact. He's taken some pictures of my recent works and things I've done years ago and created a little place on here. I'm mainly looking for your opinions on whether I should continue to draw. I'm getting older now and a hobby may be just what I need as long as it's appriecated by other people.

Thank you for any of your view and comments in the future. Have a nice day.

Lester, if you enjoy drawing you should do it for the love of it. it is way cheaper than drug, alcohol or gambling.

you'll have to scan these in. they won't print as shown right now, noise and blur. you'll want more keywords and descriptions as well.

as far as the drawings go, its best to draw for yourself and keep your style and themes consistent. they seem to jump around from item to item. some in color some not. ideally its best to practice as much as you can. its not whether you should stop or continue... however you should get more practice, go to a school or something. because drawing for fun. and drawing for profit are two different things. you have a huge amount of competition. for now get a scanner to present the work better.

Lester, I agree with Alfred...if you love it then draw! There is no reason not to do something you love....but if you have in mind to do it more for selling then pay close attention to what Mike and the others will say.
