Have purchased greeting cards from 3 different members on FAA. They were all wonderful and exactly what I was looking for.

I haven't purchased anything yet, but I'm going to. I am doing a little redecorating and there's truly some amazing art here...plus I'm sick of my own stuff LOL.

I would have to go through their galleries but I have work from Natalie Holland, Vivian Anderson, Roger Swezey, Julia Skorupsky, RJ Hacunda and a few others off the top of my head. Some bought, some gifted, all valued!

I have bought many greeting cards here from others, will collect more ... :D!

Maya's women speak to me and this one did especially. I met her and was introduced to her work through a FAA group.



I first became acquainted with Wendy over 12 years ago through eBay. We both have children with autism.



I went to high school with this photographer/artist. We lost touch for 25 years, but reacquainted through Facebook. My work inspired her to start painting. And my success helped her list her work for sale. I am very proud of her.



My dear friend Lianne who I also met through FAA is battling cancer right now. I knew the first time I saw this piece that I had to have it. When she was going through her first round of chemo, I bought this. It hangs in my studio and every time I see it, I say a little prayer for her.

I have purchased a few cards and this special piece for a gift....

My son got engaged at the finish line of the Colorado Marathon that his fiance was participating in. I went online to search for photos thinking there must be some cool shots (he had a friend of his take pictures but I wanted to see more!!). I found a beautiful watercolor logo that was done for the race banner and tracked down the artist. I found out he also sells on FAA so after e-mailing back and forth he found and scanned the image so I could purchase it! I thought it would make a great engagement gift.
It turned out beautiful and I sent it to them when they arrived home... they loved it!!!

I am not sure the purpose of you question, but the answer is that if you are thinking you are going to get any significant sales from the FAA membership, you are not.

Sure they buy a few things, but the huge, vast percentage of the sales come from outside of FAA and that makes the number of FAA members buying from FAA very, very insignificant in comparison.

I was just curious... about the taste of artists here - cause sometimes the - favourites galleries - are the most interesting and telling. Actual purchases even more so.

I have bought a canvas print, two pillows, a small print and various greeting cards from artists here. I have one piece earmarked for when I have enough money to buy it! So many temptations and my husband keeps reminding me I am supposed to be selling my stuff not buying other people's!

I actually bought the original of this piece by Anne Duke, who I believe is an incredibly inspired watercolor artist....

I bought a tote bag with this from Fiona Kennard. Unfortunately that is all that is in my budget right now!!! There are lots I would buy otherwise.

I bought this painting from David King. Of all of his work, this one is my favorite. I framed it, and hung it in our family's breakfast area, where we see it every day. My husband and son love antique cars and trucks - the "car gene" runs in my hsuband's family, they like it a lot, too.

There is a warmth to David's paintings that I find very appealing.

I have also purchased plein air paintings from Jennifer Riefenberg. She doesn't get on the discussion threads, as far as I know. She is too busy painting. The image I posted above is NOT one that I bought - rather, it is typical of the "look and feel" of her plein air work.

The work I bought isn't posted on her profile. I bought two winter scenes that she did of the Highline Canal in Colorado. She spent almost a year doing one painting at each of the mile markers along the Highline Canal. She showed the whole collection at a local library, then broke up the collection by selling them off. I got two of the paintings... wish I could have gotten them all.

I have bought cards from Judy Deist. She is a veterinarian who specializes in horses. Her horse photography is my favorite work of hers. Again, the cards I actually bought (through the Depot Art Gallery) aren't posted on her website, so I'm posting art that's similar. She is a genuine western artist, she has been here in Colorado, taking care of horses on ranches almost her whole life, and she still goes to the wild horse round-up every year.

She invited our art guild to her farm. We did drawings, paintings, and photography of her rescue horses. "Rescue Horse" and "Summer Pasture" are based on her horses (see my profile).
