Selling Over Facebook

I just created a Facebook page cause I saw you can also sell over Facebook.
https://www.facebook.com/danielprechtphotography
I didn't have a Facebook anymore cause I don't like it but I think it's a good way to advertise for the photos. Now I wondered if someone has experience with Facebook ads. How do I get me Facebook page seen? I hope someone can help

What interests can I put as a photographer? To get the audience?

You can only have 2000 or 3000 friends, or what ever it is.

The key to FB is joining Facebook groups made up of people that relate your art.

And don't make the mistake that a lot of people make in only befriending other artist and join only art related groups. Those people are not really buying that much but they are all selling.

I am not saying that friends are not important. Every set of eye balls are important. But a couple few thousand is not enough. I reach a potential of 3 million people, even that is not rough as far as I am concerned..

I would also suggest that you only post links to you ArtistsWebsite and not to your presence on Pixels or FineArtAmerica. One two clicks and those visitors are gone, lost in sear of over 2 million images.

Don not do use the automatic post that is available via FAA either. Post you images directly to your own page with links back to those exact images on your ArtistWebsite.

Have fun and best of luck to you.

It is not about being a photographer. It is about being a retailer of fine art prints and you have to find a market and go out and drag them in, You can not wait to be discovered. You do not want to necessarily relate to other photographers. You want to relate to the art buying public that are not artist or photographers.

You have a lot of bird images, go join every bird and wildlife group you can find on FB. Forget building friends. That will happen on its own if you join the right groups and post to those groups and get involved in those groups.

You have a lot of dog prints, go join all the animal rights and dog FB groups. But not to sure you want to be dropping pics of a German Shepherd into a FB groups about Pugs.
