Ya know, I think I may leave this one open for a while to allow the masses a comment or two.

When it comes down to it, you go find a new email, open an account, post your whines which seems to be a good use of your time. Takes me two clicks to ban you, then one to delete each thread which is pretty easy to do while I watch college football. When it comes down to it it isn't even a distraction or waste of my time. I think I will take particular pleasure in watching the Sooners get spanked by the SEC next week.

It takes someone with a very small mind to spend hours spamming a forum. I guess since the world didn't end you have loads of spare time. Or is this the "man" who pretended to be his wife who emailed me to say he had died and then miraculously came back to life? Either way, it's popcorn time!

I think these posts are actually a serious case of man crush and a huge dose of jealousy, it's so obvious he's begging for attention from Mike...So if Mike would take you out to dinner, would you calm down?

This really stinks, it's polluting the site, hazmat teams are busy at work to contain the hazardous waste!

this one isn't jean. jean rambles endlessly about things. this one is sooner... not intelligent enough to create a whole sentence, usually goes right after me, has short sentences, has the look of someone with a 4th grade education. no he was the one who had a picture of him and his wife, and they both kind of looked like him.

i'm not so keen on dating sooner, but i would imagine he would be giddy with delight. like a school girl who has a crush with justin beiber. he would be all balled up in the corner of his room... OHMYGOD mike like's me!!!!! and he calls all his troll friends... jean, Schrodinger's cat, and the others and they would just throw a big ol troll party. they would create masks, all of them of my face. parade around in their underwear, drawing different versions of my avatar on their chests...

look i'm super mike... no i'm santa mike. and they would then model their creations and fight over which one makes the better mike. its probably really funny to see that, but creepy at the same time.

Mr OKC Troll has merely posted an opinion (a few times) which violates the rules of this forum. He obviously expected his posts to be removed, like they were yesterday.

But a piece of his mini-manifesto still stands for all to see. That's sort of a victory. The only thing better for OKC would be to provoke Mike and *other users* into an emotional response.

When it comes down to it, Sooner is just another artist that blames FAA and it seems Mike for his lack of sales. He did it when he was an active artist on the site and it would appear he still holds a grudge.

Now, I find it a waste of time to hold grudges so I don't. Personally, when I didn't sell when I started out I looked inward and said what can I do to get better to produce a marketable image that will sell instead of the lackluster common stuff I had in my first tent. After I figured out how to do that I figured out how to market said images so they might get seen. I honestly can't remember Sooner's art and have no idea if it was fantastic or lacked marketability but one way or the other, like everyone that does sell here, he would have had to find a way to market it and get it seen.

What I do not find a waste of time is sitting here watching my most favorite thing in the world, college football, typing and alternating some pushups in there. Why is that not a waste? Well, I do loves me some college ball and looking up at the screen every so often is pretty easy. Frankly, a good bunny image dump thread is just good for the soul.

So, continue the bunnies.......

You can't report an internet troll to the authorities. Well you can, but you won't get very far. Police don't respond well to "yes, officer, someone was mean on the internet".

I am a big proponent of not responding to trolls at all. I enjoy seeing their posts with zero responses, watching as they twist alone in the wind until removed by moderators.

In this case, the troll in question can't sling snappy retorts about how he's not the sad one, we are - for responding, blah blah and all that old back and forth. None of us need his input. We're just batting this around like a cat with a ball of tinfoil. It's about disruption and perceived control, and at this point, troll has zero of either, whether we continue to bat this tinfoil ball around or not.

It has been stated as fact many times that he has multiple accounts (multiple closed accounts!). But one doesn't need an active account to see the threads, only to post.

This is a victory because his thread continues to attract emotional responses from Mike (the target, who has responded to Sooner across multiple threads) and others -- with no further effort on his part. It will entertain and delight him as long as it is open, and as long as it continues to grow.

It doesn't matter what we post. It's HIS thread, and his message is front and center. A clear victory.

Good opinion Mike Savard , and as JC states its just another member who may have a grudge for a fellow member... it is a forum and we all have opinions valid, mistaken also. My reference was in the original post, quote it was not Halloween yet, lol, lol, lol. In my own opinion, this is certainly a very good example, unless this is different to the other instances the spammer or troll which has caused havoc to Fine Art America forums just recent 20 pages then that must have been a hacker present? There is a big difference of being offended and taking remarks out of context.

Sometimes I may bite my tongue but this is because my upper denture may slip, I will not bite my tongue to make a positive and valid remark hereafter.....lol, lol,
lol....

Normally a warning is given in this particular case none was given it only substantiates other instances where my remarks were removed without explanation upon returning to a forum and making a positive comment..

Not really. I disagree. I bet Mr. Troll doesn't feel like a winner. More like a wiener. I hope Mr. Troll that you take all your energy and go create. You have something to say. Well then, go say it without being a troll and sneak. Instead of watching what is going on here and what anyone else is doing, use your energy creatively and shine. Turn on your light instead of casting a dark blot. Come out in the open. Contribute instead of tear down.

the best he can do now, until he makes a new account, is to sit and read the posts - and not be able to respond at all. its sort of like being tied up or your hands are busy and you have that itch on your nose and you can't help but touch it. but he can't because he's been locked up.

I've thought it would be fun to take a post like the original one, make it invisible to other users, and hook up an Eliza-type program to it to make responses. Then the troll would be off and running, talking to himself.

Shouldn't be too hard to customize a chatterbot to respond to forum trolls.

Michael, please take some time to read the rules again.
