Before I read 4 articles Mike, is there any mention on how you come up with essentials keywords for abstract paintings?

Mike Savad

for abstracts you have a little more freedom. go with colors, shapes, method. then...

emotions, things it might look like, and so on

Allrighty Mike, now, would you type such things into a search box?

Mike Savad

hard to say, abstract is hard to sell. but i think if someone were to type in an emotion, then abstract would be the thing to come up? hard to know. i think most look for it by color anyway.

Mike, my point is, all this talking about adding lots of keywords to an image is for motifs, especially photographic motifs.
This selling strategy does not take to account that a visitor want to be strucked by an artwork - not because of what it depicts, but because of how it is done.

A truly excellent response. I nearly spat out my tea though laughing :D

Here is another article. While I believe mostly in point 3., the main focus in most threads here, is on point 2.

Ps: My sense of justice demands, that I post this at the other thread, too.
