I have to pick this wonderful work by Zina as my favorite today. I did not have to go very far, it was on the first page. Just stopped me dead in my tracks! Great work Zina.

I am picking another favorite for today. Jolante is a master at portrait painting and this one she seems to have captured his soul along with his likeness. Bravo!

i chose David Zimmerman's 'A New Beginning' as my fav. All that descending and ascending pattern in his light effects really attracted me, as well as the peaceful scene.

I'll start off with one of Greta's lovely paintings from her Iris watercolor series. I admire her artworks because more than being skilfully and confidently rendered as they are, they suggest a love of her subject. In this piece, I like the delicacy, softness and subtle color palette.

As always, Karen's work stops me in my tracks. Her masterful textures and tones are so rich and true to life.

Elise Palmigiani - her strong, warm Colors and the whole composition is a real eyecatcher. My selection of this day.

Today I chose this excellent landscape painting by Bonnie Mason because it is a well-painted, lovely view. The Impressionistic use of colours from greens to blues successfully conveys aerial perspective, while the p.o.v. invites the viewer to 'float' over the landscape. Overall, tranquility and a nice sense of space and light.

THis piece makes me feel calm, and I love the sense of depth that was achieved. Posted on 9-7

I like the way Susan Richardson uses vibrant colours against warm and cool neutrals in a painterly, subtly cubist technique. Here's a great example in her painting of floats in assorted, sometimes clashing colours brought together to make a coherent, appealing image:

wow...I honestly thought the thumbnail was a photograph and wondered how Tali let that one slip past her...lol. The joke was on me. What a gorgeous oil painting on canvas of these autumn leaves.

There are many lovely paintings to choose from, but today I couldn't get past this wonderful cat by Ahmed Bayomi (p. 1). It's bright-eyed alertness has been portrayed expertly in expressionistic, colourful, painterly brushstrokes.

One of Tayla's many wonderful paintings - I love the depiction of light on the subject, especially the pearlescent look of the glass and the gleam of sunlight. Painterly brushstrokes, hues and values are expertly rendered with an obvious joy in her subjects.
