Why Does My Shower Curtain Have Black Corners?

Some of my shower curtains have black corners where the image is transparent. I have double-checked the transparency in PS and everything looks fine. Additionally, I am using this same image on the shirts and duvet covers and they don't have black corners. It also looks fine in the shop preview, and when I edit and look at it in the customization window. Only when I go to the product page is it black. I have a couple other images on shower curtains doing this with the same situation. Black where it should be transparent but the transparency works fine on other products. What's going on?

seems to be a bug in the shower preview, but not the mini one.

I have a shower curtain problem with a transparent image, too. This is a case where I had uploaded a non-transparent background jpg originally and then switched the files out for the transparent background png for the products. Worked fine for all but the shower curtain. There, even though I selected a white background and that's what shows on the main image page, when you click to open the shower curtain product itself, the image has a black background but a white border top and bottom.

Mike was posting while I was and yes, that describes my problem, too. Abbie turned this over to the coders some time ago, but maybe they thought it was an isolated case? I told her it was not a huge problem for me as I'm perfectly willing to delete the entire image and upload again if necessary :)

Well, sounds like it's not just me then. I became aware of it because I just got an order for it. I'm concerned because I certainly don't want it to print like that. But I can't seem to fix it. Uploading the image again doesn't change anything. So I hope the QC department is aware of it and can do something to make it print correctly.

stick this into bugs anyway.

How do I submit it to the bugs department?

I've mentioned this issue several times over the past few weeks. Apparently it has been sent to the coders. Maybe now that I'm not the only one complaining it will actually get fixed.

You would think it would be a priority since it's most likely costing them sales. I certainly wouldn't buy one if I thought it was going to print with a big black square on it. :/

For me at least and for what it's worth, the issue seems to be related to adding a png to the product. I have other pngs with transparent backgrounds, uploaded independently and specifically for products, and the shower curtain is no issue there.

Probably the shower curtain printing company, who may be different from any of the other printers, converts the file to a jpeg.

That is my guess.

Tech support needs to alert them.

Yeah, it's something to do with the image being changed, not necessarily to it being png. The ones I'm having issues with had png files on them at first and were fine. But then I uploaded a new png and it went black. I tried uploading several different png files and they all result in black backgrounds, even ones I know are working properly elsewhere. Only when I change the shower curtain back to its original png file does the black go away (if that image is still available and doesn't need to be uploaded again).

If I click on the curtain as if to change the size, the black disappears. It probably doesn't get produced with that but I can certainly see it being a turn off for buyers.

Mike, how does one stick things into bugs? They're very small.

I'm still seeing this issue. Has anyone figured out a way to fix this?
