windows 10 funny would still have xp by my choice :} using 7 of course would also be putting change in a phone booth as well had technology not pushed me forward.

I went to windows 8 from 7 - 6 months ago - its awesome - -speed and networking is all flawless...Not sure I want to gamble on 10 just yet....8 is working so well

Richard, it has nothing to do with any Windows! Sometimes we can't find or have lost an image in our files, or didn't backup. Abbie can retrieve our uploads from here.

I'm waiting for my new computer with Windows 10 installed.

Backup drives are cheap these days. Best Buy has a 1 terabyte external drive for $55.

Here is what I do to protect form losing images.

I use two external drives. When I move new photos from my camera I put them on my hard drive and both externals.

As soon as I finish post work, I save the image to all three drives, again.

The reason I use two backups instead of just one is for when I am traveling. If something should happen to my system and the drive, I will have back up at home.

Chit does happen. I have been the victim of a car burglary three times. Once in the parking lot of a hotel, once when parked on the street in San Francisco and onec in the parking lot a National Park.

My new HP Laptop with factory installed Windows 10 it sill running with no problems at all yet.

Nothing to do with windows 10. I had it on my old computer, which crashed while I was trying to load all my pics onto an external hard drive.

Dang that should just never happen!!! That I like going to the doctor for gold and catching typhoid while you are there!!
