Taking Photo Brings The World Closer

I have this habit of taking photos to pass time while waiting for the buses. This morning, I just sat down on the park bench near the bus stop waiting for my bus.. A middle age woman came over and sat next to me. In front of us was some colorful flowers planted by the nearby church.
I took my camera out was about to focus my camera for a shot. The woman next to me cried out “I took the same shot earlier!” She then took out her phone and showed me what she has taken.
I stopped my photo taking in order to look at her photos. All of sudden, this woman I had never meet in my life was talking and laughing with me like old friends. She said she thought she was the only one doing it. I told her I do it all the time and whenever I start to take photos the bus would arrive. Before I even finish my sentence our bus has arrived.

Lovely flower and color, Alfred. I just posted a photo on two Garden Center Facebook pages near me. I thought I wouldn't be photographing flowers anymore, maybe just a random one here and there. I really liked a texture I found recently and added a public domain orchid which I normally don't do unless I am creating a collage picture. I really liked how it turned out. The flower in the image below is almost unrecognizable, it has been cutout and the color changed.

Now I'm wanting more flower/plant images! I visited two garden centers hoping to photograph flowers and organics. Everyone was so nice and encouraged me to photograph whatever I wanted. I didn't think it would be that easy, thinking I would have to be clandestine in my activities. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with enthusiasm and shared interested for my art project.

Here is the inspirational image with the orchids and the linen texture in the background:
