Limited Time Promotions To Fulfill Local Orders

My wife asked if she could get one of my prints on canvas from someplace that was not so expensive especially when you add in that $50 shipping fee for a 36 inch canvas. I told her what I tell everyone else - I have not been fully satisfied with some of these bargain prints in the past and I would rather have my photographs be printed by someone that I know will do an exceptional job or else it goes back for any little picky thing that I find wrong with it no questions asked. Also in my own home when people admire art on our walls and ask where we got it, I don't want to send them to Costco with a digital file...way too complicated.
I solved the problem by sending her a Limited Time Promotion with a $1 markup...what a deal. It arrived yesterday and she was blown away as was I. It is stunning to see your work on 36 inch canvas and now I think I need to look for more LTPs to send her. Hey FAA how about having some special deals on metal prints also?

I've done the same thing before. Although I actually put a zero in the mark-up. I love the canvas prints and agree about wanting quality over price/

If you order the item yourself, there should be no mark-up.
I do agree that metal prints as LTP would be awesome.

Nancy, it is much more than just the markup. Check out limited time promotions in your control panel for yourself. They offer only certain size canvas and your image will be cropped to fit so it doesn't work for everything but the savings are substantial. A 36 inch canvas print with shipping and tax incl = $138.95 - my cost without markup with the shopping cart = $182 plus shipping and tax...not even close.
http://fineartamerica.com/weeklypromotion.html?promotionid=174497 this one has $20 markup added in.

My recollection is that when I tried to buy a LTP, it actually did include the mark-up. Which is why I went back and took it out just for my purchase.

EDIT -- Yep, just did it again, although I didn't actually buy it. LTPs include your own mark-up when logged in.

Are you sure you are on Limited time promotions Joseph? They look like this example of a 40 x 50 inch canvas with $10 markup./..shipping is not included in this price but wow $160 for that size. http://fineartamerica.com/weeklypromotion.html?promotionid=174501
edit to add: my normal markup for that size is $200 plus 267.61 or $467ish plus shipping and tax.

I usually have a LTP up. So I went to it, clicked "Buy Now" while logged in and it came up with the same price I see for everyone else. I wasn't complaining, Just mentioning that LTPs don't take our mark-ups off.

Also you can created a discount code, then send it to the buyer(s).

ok some of you are not getting my point. Let's put discount codes and markups aside for a second and consider a 40 in x 50 in canvas print for $150. If I purchase that same print off of my shopping cart the price to me is $299 for a 36.88 x 48 in. Note the closest size available for a LTP price is an unfortunate crop that I did not choose however I saved $149. Now I would not select the photo that I used as my example as an LTD because the cropping kinda sux. Many of my photos do work well with the limited sizes available under the Limited Time Promotion pricing.
