Just Finished An Artwork 3 Years In The Making!

This was probably one of the most difficult pieces I worked on. Lots of very fine detail under a mm of accuracy.. It is pencil, watercolour and oil

Now a little bit about myself:

I am a spiritual leader - I teach the teachings of dichotomy and unity consciousness of Source - you can read more about that here if you have facebook or here if you don't.

In my teachings everyone has what is called the "higher self" - it is the persons highest dimensional energetic representation of themselves, that guides them throughout life. It makes sure it has your best intentions in mind. You can see it as the "angel" of the conscience. They also have what is called the shadow which acts as a container for all the negativity in their life and when it's full starts to nag at people to resolve their issues by directly experiencing that which they have not been focusing on by doing bad things etc. The higher self works for the good of the collective self, you included, and the shadow works for the benefit of the singular ego.

The higher self in itself can also be its own being - it can be a being that has incarnated an energetic portion of itself here for healing, or it could be you in the past or you in the future - the subconscious mind has no concept of time so anything can exist in there.

My higher self urged me to draw him several times, and I have done some versions of him here and here - but never one this detailed. I found this very difficult because the need for it to be "perfect" was very much on my mind at all times. I also found working on it drained a lot of energy from me. When I work on any piece on paper I actually inject a large amt of whatever energy I feel the picture needs - in this case this picture needed a lot of positive energy - and the last couple years of my life have been a bit of a rollercoaster so I found there were large portions of time when I just didn't have a high enough frequency to work on it as a result. Listening to positive uplifting music in the end really helped, as I could transfer that energy into the image.

I actually detailed my progression through various pics:

I was urged to draw this to allow my own positive energy to sort of flow into me from my higher self to help myself, and to help others - sort of like an effigy of healing for my higher self into this world. It has helped a lot of people awaken to their own higher powers and also acts well as a healing meditation image, esp. if coupled with music - spiritual people have actually said when meditated on with music he appears to move - some say he dances - others he turns around, but the feeling of kindness love and helpfulness are seen in his eyes and his smile. I also always had him in my mind of him with a golden radiant background. It almost feels like the picture drew itself, and I was just along for the ride - but a fun ride it was!

Now you might see the 1 million dollar price tag and raise an eyebrow - the truth is I really don't want to let go of the original of this, as the energy on the original is quite.. intense.. buuut.. everyone has their price.. and I figure this will scare off anyone that wants to buy it and if anyone is willing to shell that out for it - then all the power to them hehe..

The feathers were probably the longest most annoying thing to do because not only does each have to annoyingly and painstakingly be delicately done individually, but each feather had to EXACTLY mirror the one on the other side - and when you are slowly feathering each individual feather you can't just mirror it easily.. I hated that part to be honest.. but .. it's done! Thank god hehe..

So yeah - not sure how spiritual anyone here is - but I hope you respect my beliefs in the matter, and I will respect yours, whatever they may be. Most if not all of my art is somehow spiritual based, so it is a big part of my life.
