Solved: Pricing Inaccuracies Bewtween Shop And Product Pages

Following up to my original post: http://fineartamerica.com/showmessages.php?messageid=2625427

I figured it out...How to have your SHOP button prices match the actual PRODUCT prices for metal and canvas prints:

If the smallest non-paper print size offered by FAA/Pixles is NOT 8", then set your first mark-up price based off the [default] smallest available in the METAL or CANVAS offerings.

e.g. The smallest FAA print dimension may be 8", but the smallest metal print offered is 12"...set your mark-up pricing beginning at 12" and leave the 8" and 10" fields blank.

Tah-dah!

(I think...)

Could anybody more experienced/in-the-know please confirm? Thanks!

If you leave them blank then I don't think they will be offered for sale

That's right, Roy. And that was my whole conundrum in the original post -- There can be a huge difference in the prices presented on the SHOP page and when you click through to the PRODUCT page *if*, as I did, you begin all your mark-ups at the 8" size by default. Because of that, everything of mine that was listed at $42 or less for metal or canvas, was way off ($15 to $55) because FAA doesn't make those products without at least one side 10" or larger.

The situation is of my own doing -- inadvertently. I cropped images to ratios other than 4:5 (...which makes for 8" x 10" -- and successful "starting at" prices -- prints.) I've got many images at:

- 3:5 (...makes 10" x XX" and larger)
- 16:9 (...makes for 12" x XX and larger)
- and a few panoramic images (...starting at 20" or 24" on the longer sides)

So, yeah, FAA will print my panoramic on a photo paper with a long side of 8"...but it'd be less than 2" tall. It appears that that size is not compatible/realistic with the metal or canvas.
