Computer Is Not Working

i'd start with the basics. erase cache, refresh, or rest the machine. it sounds like your having issues with java though, i think the site runs on that. maybe you have a blocker installed or something that updated itself. try turning off virus checkers for a few minutes, see if it works. try a different browser as well.

thank you Mike you might be right about the Java thing, when I tried to update Java it tells me the computer does not support the updated version. Time for another computer

it should. java is pretty universal. java script is usually disabled by the browser. be sure to go to java's site and download it from there. unless your machine is like 20 years old or something, it should work. unless you have malware or something preventing it from working.

Do you really need JAVA? I disabled it long ago. "For regular users, there’s very little reason to keep Java around".

Have you tested you internet speed at home?

Judy I have had the internet checked everytime it is checked it is good (I have my doubts) but did do that...the funny thing is I get these shopping pop ups on FAA only no other site, and just on this computer..I have used this site at work no pop ups and no problem editing and downloading my pics. Very strange...I just disabled Java and that didn't work, oh well. I just ordered an Apple will be here around the 5th of Sept I am hoping that will correct the problem. Thank you all for all your help and advice!!!

if your getting pop ups, run a malware check right now. that's where the big issue is. apple is not immune to that btw. this site has no pop ups. get malware bytes and do a full check including root kits.

Linda, you could try uninstalling Java and then reinstall it. For whatever reason, some times there's a glitch with the update and Java won't update properly.

Mike it's true Apple's are not immune, but after 10 years my iMac hasn't had any virus or malware and I don't run any programs for them. ;)
