Help Google Geeks!

Would like to figure out why none of my images show up in Google images. One good example is probably the below image. There are only two pages Dr Zhivago art on Google, not many are producing art for this subject. I have noticed the "Art" category heading on Google, I'm not sure that needs to be in the keywords. I have not uploaded any images to Google+ yet.

Are you googling a subject or your name? When I google a subject my images from another POD site pop up first with FAA a close second.

you won't show up instantly, like google search there is often a waiting period. the bot doesn't always come around. and i think its also based on how often that image comes up on other sites. you don't have that many keywords for it to bite into. you also said Zhivago so many times, it might have considered spam. the whole description looks like spam to be honest. but in any case, it takes time and it depends what your looking for.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Zhivago+Suzanne+Powers&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 this is 1

and images - your also in the one spot - but using your name with it

the movie posters and actual movie will always be number 1 when it comes to just that one word.

Jessica, I was using Zhivago as the search keyword.

Mike, I didn't realize images are based on being on other sites, that explains why there aren't that many images showing and why mine don't show up. The end result is Google wants links.

Your results are pretty personalised By Google. Nobodies results are the same now

Abbie, can you elaborate on how Google personalizes you, your site? Actually since you have brought it up I can Google it!

Your results are personalized, just like the ads you see on websites. Everything you do online is tracked and used by companies to anticipate what they think you want to see.

Think of it as Big Brother watching you.

Turn off search history and you'll get results that are more common to your geographical location. Otherwise it learns from your prior searches and will draw up future results based on which result you click first.

Interesting answers.

personalized - every site you visit, goes into your history and then favors those things above all others. you can turn off your history, most don't know about it or care. it will also take into account your friends history at google plus.

the more places you show up with your images, the more places google associates you with those images.

Thanks Mike for the information. I will look forward to hopefully more links. I am using my business Facebook account now instead of the other page for all posts and getting notice from visitors, that should help in the big scheme of things.

As I understand there is no difference when You turn off Your search history: Google holds its own history for every IP address.

if you shut it all off, it won't remember. but you will want to check your android data, youtube, and so on. it keeps a history of every search since time began. if your not logged in, its not so bad. android is annoying because it will dump map searches on you when you go to the phone. and google sometimes turns the settings back on. so you have to check it now and then.

So if you use Cnt-Shift N for an ingognito search, that clears history as well, doesn't it? I use that at work when I publish to our online database, to make sure I'm seeing the latest published documents.

And Suzanne, where do you see the option to search for Art? Gotta figure out how to get my art on more pages. Marketing books and art is a JOB!!

Google def does work, if you search "sunset at old scitutate lighthouse" my FAA link comes up third and my image link from FAA comes up third in the image search as well

Susan, the "(subject) Art" is a heading (among other image headings) at the top of the Google image page.

Brian, I'm interested in the actual art images showing in Google images.
