I received this email today from Priscilla Mensah, it is obviously a scam and needs to be reported.

Subject:
To whom it may concern.
Message:
Hello Dear Comrade .

I am Mrs. Priscilla Mensah 58 Year old woman from United Kingdom but married to late Mr. Mark Mensah , I have been suffering from a beeriest cancer sickness, which have took me so much money and nothing was done to cure it after all the treatment I have been taking, to my greatest surprise some days ago my doctor told me that I may not live more than two months and die as the result of the sickness.

And but during our marriage time we did not produce any child to inherit our wealth and properties and our family members are ungodly people, so I decided to use the wealthy of my late husband for the good work of God to help the poor and those that are in needs around the world ,

We deposit the amount of $9.Million US dollars in one of the International bank here in Ghana West Africa for our foreign investment USA and I have already donated part of this money to less privileges like poor widows, orphans disables and build churches in AMERICA, EUROPEAN AND AFRICA AND ASIA.

But now I decided to donate this amount (USD $6,000.000.00) Six Million United State Dollars for the help of the less privileges ,poor widows, orphans disables and build churches in your country As result of my short stay on earth, since we do not have any child to inherit the money and properties as next of kin , so I was touched in spirit after my prayers to donate the money to you for the good work of God despite that you and I we have never see each other before but God know the reason why he chosen you to handle this project for me because through your help to me the poor and others in needs will be save and survived and your business will be establish because I am willing and ready to give you 30% of the money after the bank have transfer this money to your bank account in your country under 3days as the bank director said to me.

And I have all the legal documents of this fund which I can send to you as a proof of my legal transaction with you before we can proceed ahead,

So if you are interested to help me as God chosen you , please kindly send me your contact details ,Your Home address or your office address together with your photos and telephone number so that I will know who you are very well and send my own details to you to know me and after that, I will introduce you to the bank where my late husband deposited the fund and I will give them other to transfer the fund direct to your bank account in your country immediately for the God project .

Am looking forward to your prompt reply E-mail :( prinslam@yahoo.com ) or G-mail: (prinslam.mark@gmail.com)

there is a scam thread somewhere.....do a search in the search box for discussions.
Do not post the e mail, just the name of the sender...Abbie will add it to an extensive list that has been growing for a few years now.

Why bother reporting it at all? They haven't done anything but attempt to start a scam.

If all these opportunities and visitor prizes were true, there would be no poor. I'd just received one a while ago on my email to confirm a money transaction, maybe they are already thinking on the Christmas presents

Did someone really say why bother?? That's kind of ignorant. Believe it or not, there are naive people in this world. Nobody deserves to be taken advantage of.

The reason they make them appeal to the stupid sector is because that's *exactly* who they want to attract, it's certainly not because the scammers are stupid. They don't want people who are going to catch on part way through the scam, that will waste time and money, so they appeal to the lowest common denominator. And yes, responding is the wrong thing to do, it's never a good idea to do anything to attract unwanted attention from the dregs of society.

'...........that's kind of ignorant.'

No need to say that. Just explain why you posted it, not insult the member asking why.

People report so I can remove from the site and, because thousands of people fall for these every week. This scamming is worth in the region of a billion dollars a year, so hugely rewarding to the scammers.

For every 10 contacted there may be one who sends money. There are many lonely, gullible, non web savvy people online still. (They may be one, or all, of these)

Hopefully the next generations will be taught to beware these in school
