About Registering Multiple Image Copyrights With The U.s. Copyright Office

Hey,

If anyone is interested the following is some info I just learned about registering multiple image copyrights. The following is a response from the U.S. copyright office. Most of the info is also available online. I was just confirming it with the copyright office. I'm kinda happy that I can register 1 million paintings for $55. Of course I then have to wait 8 months...

"Good Afternoon,

You may register an unlimited number of unpublished works together as a collection online through the Electronic Copyright Office (eCO) at http://www.copyright.gov/forms The filing fee for the collection is $55. The current processing time is about 8 months. You’ll receive a certificate of registration once the registration has been approved.

Try simply: copyright.gov

Then click on the link "More FAQs" For some reason the other Frequently Asked Questions link doesn't seem to be working when I click on it today.

They give you a menu of different topics to click on... they have a whole section on registering your copyright, you should be able to find the forms and instructions that you need there.

I removed the . from your link, but the page kept redirecting me.

Can't you please just edit your OP Phil, and remove the period? Then the hyperlink will work.
Thanks!

I removed the period from the hyperlink above - http://www.copyright.gov/forms
Honestly though, I've never been to that page. It was just part of the response from the copyright office.

I created a login account at the following page. Just click the new user link, if you're a new user.
https://eco.copyright.gov/eService_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=Start&SWEHo=eco.copyright.gov

Once in your account they have a full electronic process that allows you to register new claims - types of work, titles, authors, rights & permissions, etc.

Thanks,
Phil
