Just Curious

I have been a member since February 2014. Got a little over 2,00o looks, mostly web bots, as I have learned from these discussions. Only 11 followers. What am I not doing well? Is my work not up to par? Do I need to be doing something more in web promoting? Good Titles, keywords, and descriptions. Facebook with Fan Page. Soooo, what else am I missing? Your input will be much appreciated. Thank you so much in advance. Oh, the Image presented was rejected from a contest of "Serenity In Nature"

Robert I had a look around your profile and your works pretty amazing to me, the quality is definitely there and you have some great subjects. and now you have 12 followers. Theres will be along shortly I am sure who are much more knowledgeable in me in these things but you seem to have only a few keywords per image and how are promoting outside of FAA?

Work is nicely done. It is not an issue.

Keywords are lacking

Run a search for Florida keys Bridge. Then run a search for Flagler Bridge keys.

One has 800 plus results including yours. One has less than 80 and yours is not one of them. One will at least get your image seen. One will not.

This is not enough keywords for that image.

2100 views is virtually unseen in a year on the web. You NEED to get off FAA and promote, or shoot things with less competition. While well done, many of your image are of things or places with a LOT of competition. Makes it hard to get seen when you are new.

what ever you just said you need to do all those things. if your just sitting around waiting, you'll wait forever.

your bio basically doesn't say anything. you tell us the work speaks for itself (that doesn't help people find you). a reference to software that the buyers don't care about. and a licensing ad. at a glance, i have no idea what you sell.

Art Prints
and because you think the images speak for itself - they don't. i have no idea what this is or where it is, and i didn't follow through them all. everything should be described. you need far more keywords as well. there are no views at all with this one, your not advertising them at all.

if you are going to license stuff, don't send people to the main page with instructions, give them the link right to your page only.

Sell Art Online
your descriptions don't inspire confidence. don't talk about the limits, describe the location.

the images are fine, descriptions are weak, keywords are not great. bio needs polishing. but mostly you have to do work to advertise yourself.

Thanks for your time and interest in helping me to find my space on the internet. I will keep working at it. It's got to work somehow. I know it's up to me.

Well I never heard of the rainbow bridge before and I may need to add that to my keywords. But feel free to steal mine. Research your subjects so you can keyword to match the words that those interested in those subjects use.

Oh, a special thanks to the "Batman". Sorry, can't help that. I am a Batman Fan outside of the FAA. Glad to see a Batman here too.

Thanks Brain, especially like your "South Shore" images.

Thanks Mike, I will use your third paragraph as a starting point to refine my profile.

Funny that Bradford mentioned that...St Pete (not "St Pete's" as your description says, Robert) is my home town and I have never heard the Sunshine Skyway referred to by that nickname before. Where did you hear that, Robert?

I did enjoy many of your shots and commented on a few, too. ; )

Whenever I've done a Google image search I've always typed in a subject - a person, a name, a location, a thing - never "Random images". I think if you have the keywords set up properly you'll increase your human views, though not necessarily to the potential buyers, I may one a 100 times click to go to the site.

You need blogs and featuring in galleries etc,and a web presence beyond the FAA store. Enter competitions, have your work associated with events and places, and have the description as verbose as possible

Robert, I only look at your flower gallery and noticed some has the wrong name or without proper key word, your hollyhocks is a snapdragon, purple cactus is a thistle and hibiscus is a camellia.
hope that's help.

Robert,

Great images! But no one will see them without the right keywords! If the "cars" is an indication of lack of keywords, then you have a LOT of work ahead of you! For cars, look at my stuff and see what years, model, etc. I have listed and then "Borrow" those keywords.

I use this "tool" to add more keywords, after I have the most important ones done,

Good Luck,

Robert,

Nice gallery!

If you are concerned that you have "only 11 followers," you might want to follow more than 10 people. Also, if you want more visits, do you visit and comment on others? Share images on social media? Just a thought!

Thanks to everyone. Guess I have my work cut-out for me. My best wishes to all of you in your arts endeavors.
