So for the ones who posted on my previous thread about urban photography, these are just some of the photos I got while out.
Overall, I was really happy about the trip. We had a lot of fun, and it was a really cool experience. I feel like I could've taken better photos in certain areas, but practice makes perfect, right?
Nice captures. I might bump the brightness and contrast on these. Seem a bit dull.especially around the eyes.
First brightness and then contrast and see if you like the difference. Start with the brightness slider and go past where you think it should be and then come back, same with the contrast. Levels may work instead of the brightness, but would have to see the actual file,
I looked more carefully at this one. The main subject? The banjo player? Center?
Or the girl foreground? The story gets lost because the banjo player is out of focus.
David, thank you. My main subject was meant to be the girl in the foreground.
Rich, I am using Corel PaintShop Pro X7. I certainly would get Photoshop but I need to wait due to other more important priorities based on money. If you can give me any suggestions period, I would love to hear them... I love learning.
Rich is certainly correct. Photoshop Elements (available on Amazon and elsewhere) is what I use 98% of the time. I only use the full Photoshop for one job, not related to FAA, on which I'm working that uses a template provided by a client that requires the full PS. I've been using Elements for many years - and just last year upgraded from Version 2 to Version 12 (they are now at 13). I originally bought it because it has both PC and Mac versions on the same CD - and I use both platforms.
they have a photoshop + lightroom subscription for $10 a month. I consider that a good value, even on a tight budget, for software that is continually updated. But I have over 100000 images in my archive, essentially every shot since I went digital in 2003.
