Show Us Your T-shirt Designs!

Cats Face T-Shirt design for light colored shirts!

Cats Face Eyes Tshirt

how to post t-shirt images in a normal size

grab the forum posting link from your image page next to "embed".
look at the code and look for the url that comes after "img src". replace the link between the apostrophes with the url to your t-shirt image. to get that url, rightclick on your t-shirt image and copy from your browser. when you have done that, add a blank after the apostrophied url and then add height="500" making sure not to delete anything else.

How do you make the preview smaller? When I tried to edit the link, it only made the hummingbird smaller, not the t-shirt.

To post products in forums follow this link:
http://fineartamerica.com/featured/posting-pillows-in-forums-rose-santuci-sofranko.html
It works for all products. But instead of pillow images use t shirt images.

Thanks Jessica and I'm not sure if it's cause I'm logged in but I get a clothing link on FAA site.

I don't have many tee-shirts yet because I am only putting the designs I think really work on the shirts.

So this design came from a junk robot I actually saw in an Australian antique shop. Wonder what its story is....

Photography Prints

Australia is full of these birds. They're the equivalent of pigeons over here. Just loved this guy and his shadow. He was on the lookout for french fries near an outdoor restaurant on Bribie Island

On other sites, I have the design bigger and on the back of tee-shirts, but since I already had it in png format, I added it here.

This design is actually kind of an ad for the novel I'm working on. That's its name: "Whiskey for Tea: A Tale of Victorian Scotland" Did John Brown really teach Queen Victoria to drink whisky (the way it's spelled there) in her tea?

This is an experiment to see what I can easily do to transform a rectangle image into something that would work on a tee-shirt. What do you think?

LEANNE SEYMOUR

Cool designs Susan and reckon that last design is pretty interesting and works! Oh and Ibis with its shadow really impresses me!

Thank you, Leanne! I have many ideas, and not enough time, I'm sure that's true for every one of us...

For some reason none of my post came through. I build websites from html, for crying out loud! You'd think I could figure this out! I'd really like to share the transparent image itself because it took me so long to make it. LOL

I'm doing what Sharon did - straight link. This seems to be the only way I can make it work.

Okay, that didn't work either. Copy/paste if you want to see what it is. I give up. Anybody have instructions for Mac? There isn't any "right click" to grab the shirt URL. There are times I really miss Windows...

I think this is my last one for a while. Had to redo this because I got a message from my pc that I had a bug in my laptop, so rushed to finish the first one and forgot to save it with a transparent background.......grrrrr! So here it the final and 2nd attempt.

Here's a fun one I've been working on. I'm still working on the print to go with it. You have to look at it bigger to see the expression on her face to "get it."

I finished my print. It's not the best thing I've done but it's a lot of fun. Works on products better than as an actual print, I think. I have the pgn as a pillow, a duvet and card and the jpg as the rest.

This is the only one I've done with a transparent background. I've ordered one for myself, to see if it came out right, but I'd love to hear what you think of my silly design. ;)

I just tried something new. Just revitilized an older piece of art and since it's of a Tulsa landmark, I thought it might make an interesting teeshirt. But I wanted it to say "Tulsa" on it, so this is what I did: I curved the corners so it isn't EACTLY a square. And I cut out the words, "Reflections of Tulsa." The words are transparent, and, as a result, show through the color of the tee-shirt. What do you think?

LEANNE SEYMOUR

@Susan and Lori......looks pretty cool to me!

And @Maria.....check out further up this discussion thread and you'll find instructions.....it took me ages to work it out, but in the end it's pretty simple if you don't give up!

Looks like the process works best if you keep the edges crisp. If you do have gradients with transparency, keep them light or, better, white—they'll still be chunky but not read as some terrible glow. I'll try to photograph the results tomorrow, but it looks as if they make the base white with the transparency. This means white will be placed under black and light alike without discrimination. Anything that is partially transparent will show the white. If the uploading process ever allow tiff's with alphas or some other variation, I'll try again. And I'll try to photograph the shirt when it's daylight.

This should have been the base white (made by an action):
Base White 2 photo basewhite_zpsgpaiko9x.jpg

This is probably the base white they used:

Thanks for that report, Vanessa. I was staying away from partial transparencies until I knew. Now I will totally stay away from them in tee-shirt designs.

Vanessa Bates

You're welcome. Susan. Pardon the focus on this—I'm taking the camera in for a look tomorrow but since manual focus acts up too, it's probably the lens.

Vanessa Bates

Oh yes, I pulled from the wrong image. The base they used here would be more like

They're having me send photos of the t-shirt as an attachment first (no embedded files) before I receive instructions about how to return it.

LEANNE SEYMOUR

Had some fun with this one....
