You have to check to accept the terms and conditions, butI can't find them. They have links for rules and submission guidelines, but Where's the fine print? Did I miss it?

I couldn't find the fine print either. That worries me.

My only suggestion is that you click on "contact us" and ask for a copy.

On the top of the page it says "rules" which gives you "contest rules and submission guidelines" but no fine print. It also says $10. for the first shot and $25 for three. BTW $3000. is the total for all prizes.

I only enter shows on rare occasions. It really does nothing for sales. Almost nobody cares if you won awards. They want to buy or they don't.

The last one I entered had $110,000. in prizes. That got my attention. First prize was $50,000. I didn't win anything but I'll probably enter again. I don't need my ego stroked I could use some cash.

I didn't see where it cost to enter. That doesn't surprise me. No thank you.

You have to pay to enter the contest? Sounds scammy. I'm out.

Official Entry - If you think you have an innovative, creative image and want to compete for cash awards and deserved recognition, you may enter the competition for $10.00 for the first image and $25.00 for three (3) images.

2 megs per file

they were heavy about the copyrights and being totally yours, couldn't even look like someone else's. beyond that they didn't mention what will happen to these images after.

"The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 in cash and a $1,000 Michaels gift card, a seven-day trip for two to New Jersey to display their work at The Collective Art Tank in Asbury Park and an opportunity to visit some of the region's most popular art destinations. The winner's artwork will be replicated, framed and displayed in the custom framing area of each Michaels store."

EDIT: Runners-up will receive a $500 cash prize and a $500 Michaels gift card, and the remaining six semi-finalists will be awarded $100 in cash and a $100 Michaels gift card.

And for a chance at that, $10 is too much?

ROFLMFAO!

I don't mind paying for submitting images. I just entered a juried contest (local) at one of our galleries and paid $30.00. Mine was named "best in show" and I got a $750.00 prize. Well worth my investment.
Even if I didn't win, the 30 bucks would be worth just getting in and displayed in this gallery!

But I've seen too many copyright grabs to enter anything without reading the small print. I see irony that they make you check that box that you accept their terms without allowing you to SEE the terms.

With my luck, I'd get stuck with the Michaels gift card and they'd own my copyright :-(
