I have an entire big cats gallery where my lions are showcased, but these are the pieces I've been inspired to make lately since the news of Cecil:

The older folks are looking for a spot with some air conditioning and a seat. The only kid in the photo is brandishing a toy rifle, looking for something to shoot.

From my first year in art school....All by hand. It's called stippling and it was long before photoshop. I recently scanned everything from my portfolio from art school graduation and several are now best sellers. :)

Okay, at your request I removed the image, but I vehemently disagree that I was in the wrong for posting it.

We honor beings by commenting on the bad done against them, rather than sweeping this under the rug quickly and looking only at the good times.

The honor of those good times was DIS-honored, and I commented on it via parody to emphasize the gross lack of honor, NOT to detract from it.

Robert, You are in the wrong for posting your image of the noble hunter.
Even for fun. It is very disrespectful. I would appreciate it if you would take
your image off of this thread.

Thanks for your post and removing your art. But thanks also for your
explanation and the pain that this low life hunter has caused. I really appreciate it.
I am so tired of seeing that image of poor Cecil. It is heartbreaking.
I am trying to stay positive. Which is hard to do with this kind
of tragedy. I wasn't trying to get you to remove the image from your
gallery, just here. I hope there is more security at that park
in Zimbabwe. Love and light go out to Cecil's Pride. I am sure
they miss him and need him desperately to help protect them.
His spirit is there to look after them.

A lion researcher has said his satellite collar is sending normal signals indicating he is moving around. ???

Here is the last lion sculpture I painted for University City, Missouri. It is public art at Heman Park in U.City.
They wanted a design incorporating cultural unity intertwined with flowers and animals.

This sculpture is over 100 years old and was originally in San Francisco.
