Confused About Faa Search

I have accidentally discovered that some of my images only show up in a search for "all media" but will not show up in a search for "photographs".

Here is one example:

Photography Prints

keyword search: "braga bridge" media: "all" - it shows up in the search results
keyword search: "braga bridge" media: "photographs" - does not show up in the search results even though the image is categorized as a photograph.

Another example:

Photography Prints

keyword search: "fall river ma" medium: "all" it shows up in search results
keyword search: "fall river ma" medium: "photographs" does not show up in search results even though the image is categorized as a photograph.

I am doing something wrong or is there a bug in the search algorithm?

Did you mark it as two categories?

I.E. photograph and digital art for example?

If so, you will not show up when they select one media type. You can select two media types, but it's not always to your benefit to do so. Some media categories you'll still show up. If I remember correctly digital art you will, but paintings and photography, you only appear if you selected only that single media type.

PS - It's easier to see how it works on your AW. Go there, click on shop. And then select different media types from the drop down and see what images appear. You can tell which ones you've chosen multiple media types and how that impacts where they appear.

I think you are correct mark. Looks like I've got some work to do.

Thanks so much for your help.
