Fyi: Update For Adobe Creative Cloud

Because Windows 10 is coming out, Adobe has pushed out an Adobe Creative Cloud update. It first hung up on my computer, then refused to do anything at all, even after a reboot, and I didn't have access to my Adobe programs, and my Photoshop addiction was driving me crazy. I looked online for a solution and found one that worked. If you have this issue, restart your computer in Safe with networking mode and update from there. Worked on my Windows 8.1.

What about windows 7?

(at this point, I'm kinda' glad I never did CC... but I have been considering it).

Upgrade worked for me on the second try. 8.1. Be sure to close everything first.

Worked for me on 8.1. Then I upgraded to 10 and no problems.

Oh and Joan, I am not even going to bother with Startisback now. Taking me a while to get it the way I want, but it's not bad at all.

My Adobe is all up to date; Win-10 is downloading now and I will install later today. Hope it all works. Adobe says:

To answer questions about compatibility, Adobe has create an FAQ.

The Photoshop and Lightroom teams have been testing our applications since Windows 10 became available to developers. In our testing, we have found no significant issues with running Creative Cloud products or Lightroom 6 with Windows 10.

Earlier versions of Photoshop (CS6) were also tested to a lesser extent and no significant issues were discovered.

I personally recommend that customers do their own testing on a non-production partition to ensure that new OSes work with their current hardware and drivers.

If you do encounter issues not already documented, feel free to report them on our feedback site.

I wonder about the compatibility with PSE 11,12 and 13?

I never got Adobe to work for me in Windows 8. Finally just gave up!

"...Windows 8. Finally just gave up!"

LOL. Funny thing is that Microsoft gave up on it, too! (Windows 8).

Turns out Windows 8 was such a foul, stinky little turd Microsoft skipped Windows 9 and went straight to 10 so as to distant themselves from it, and they're giving Windows 10 away free to Windows 8 users. Sad thing is for Microsoft: no amount of freebies will ever cleanse the stench of Windows 8 off Microsoft.
