Photos Of My Art

Hello, I'm an artist new to this wonderful website, and not the best when it comes to taking photos with a cell phone. I am able to take the photo, then, when I upload the photo of my art, the size of the image on the computer seems small. For example, the image doesn't cover the entire throw pillow and is a very small blip on the duvet cover examples. How can I get a larger image?

Thanks so much for your help!

Artistically yours,
Leonette

cell phones are really not a good way to present your art. your better either getting a photo scanner or a pro to do it. the images coming from phones are usually small, not clear or bright. you can't make it any larger than what the camera can make. you'll need a better camera or a scanner. if there are clarity issues from the phone - it may not even print.

You wouldn't want to display your art in a dingy room with no light, I'm guessing. So present your art online the best way you can. Find a friend or an area photographer who will help you. Search these discussions for tips on how to shoot your art or get someone to scan them in. Your art can be magnificent, but if you're displaying it in a bad light, no one will take the time to stop and look at it.

Cameras on cell phones are nice to take pictures of dinner or an impossibly cute moment from an animal or a kid. Not to display art.
