Mike, there are three different categories, Weather, Nature, and Adventure. I gave you a vote Christina :)

I'd read the fine print. Many of these contests require you to give over the rights to your image if it wins.

In the fine print - win yet lose your image:

"Winners shall irrevocably grant, transfer, convey and assign to Sponsor the entirety of the rights in and to the Photos and all renewals and extensions of copyright, and the right to secure copyright registrations thereto in perpetuity including, without limitation, the rights to use the Photos for any and all purposes in any and all media whether now known or hereafter developed, on a worldwide basis, in perpetuity."

Just an FYI. This is why I don't enter photo contests.

Thank you for the votes, I doubt I will even come close to winning anything. But if I did, I'd trade my image for 10k! You also get publicity, your name and image all over the place... it's a fair trade, one image for publicity, possible sales on your site, bragging rights...

That's a myth Christina :/

Go up and read what Edward just posted from TWC. They clearly won't be providing a hyper link to your website, they'll be using it at your expense to promote themselves, and don't expect them to credit you.

It sounds like it is a risk your willing to make, and your free to decide on your own. I wish you luck!
