How To Get Sales Notification Emails Via Text Message If You Use Gmail

I have had quite a few people ask me how I get sales notifications from FAA via text message, so I thought I would post how I have this set up. Afterall, it's a lot of fun to get a text while hanging with some of your fellow artists and showing them that you just sold a print or two, right?

In Gmail, you can set custom filters that will perform certain actions such as forwarding an e-mail or setting it in a specific category....

I forward all e-mails to my phone:
Received from : donotreply- at - fineartamerica.com
Message includes: FineArtAmerica.com New Order! (Order ID

I forward it to: Mynumber@txt.att.net

I also have it set to "Never send to Spam, Mark as Important"

If you do not have AT&T as your service carrier, here is a short list of the major providers:

MetroPCS: [your number]@mymetropcs.com
Nextel: [your number]@messaging.nextel.com
Sprint: [your number]@messaging.sprintpcs.com OR [your number]@pm.sprint.com
T-Mobile: [your number]@tmomail.net
Verizon: [your number]@vtext.com
Virgin Mobile: [your number]@vmobl.com
U.S. Cellular: [your number]@email.uscc.net

If your provider is not listed above, a quick Google search should yield the address that you should direct your e-mail. Please post your service provider and format and I will add them to the top of this list.
