Question About Deleting Galleries

Deleting galleries should not afect individual images. At least it has not for me in the past.

You should have galleries as categories
Images in categories have a link...that's why they are in categories
So at least one keyword is the same on all images you would think
When creating a new gallery, or searching images, look for that keyword
Voila. All that category found


Deleting galleries has no effect in the images, they just aren't in that gallery any more.

There is no surefire way to see what images are not in any gallery besides looking at the image in the edit mode. I guess it would be possible for someone to make a script that would do this and more. So far no one has made any support programs specifically for FAA that can present info in a spreadsheet form without actually manually entering everything.

Where do they go, or rather, where can they be found? If an image is included in only one gallery and that gallery is deleted, I assume your answer indicates they will be on the Image tab. Correct?

Unfortunately, there is no keywording in images to reference a gallery, so that option is gone.

Dan, yes they will be in the images tab. If you want to delete image from a gallery you can edit the gallery and check the ones to be deleted . You can also change the gallery name.
