Tumblr?

I dont know about apps for Tumblr. Are there apps for Pinterest? I never thought of the pin button as an app.

David: Yes there is an app for Pinterest Android that can be found on Google Play. I've installed it on my recently purchased tablet, but haven't had much time to use it a lot. Have looked at a few things/pinned some. Still getting used to using a tablet. But, the app is available.

Yes, there is an app for tumblr. It is absolutely one of my favorite social media / blog sites. I think it's super easy. Like everything else, it's all a matter of preference.

i consider the pin thing an app. its in my links bar, i think its java based and it collects all the images on a page and you can pin from that. i'm thinking tumblr has been around longer and it should have the same thing.

i have the phone app, i need the app for waterfox. i don't know the exact terminology for it. does anyone know if its an add on? or i'm just looking for a button for it.

You can hook up Google Analytics to Tumblr. I have that done a while back.

You can also more easily multi word the hashtags. But I am not sure how that works, the ins and outs.

For instance.....instead of #dentistsoffice I think you can write "#dentists office" and get results.

not much is happening with this place. i think tumblr has long since lived its popularity. i would have to attract people to the site and there is little point. the interface is kind of clumsy and i stopped posting to it. usually i get a like or even a view, and i don't get any of it.

I don't post on tumir much but on flickr there is the share button for it, also for facebook, pinterest, twitter.

If you search for like topics at least in one of the ways it interconnects you get journalists who have substantial followings.
They do not follow back.

It must take time and searching beyond the celebs to find people of like minds. Then the question is will that snowball? And it could.

Tumblr is an important major website.

The horse race for blogs is between Tumblr number one and possibly Linkedin. Which has the better platform might win. It depends on how
they charge going forward with ads or what. Linkedin would like to sell memberships. I have not specifically sussed out how that affects their blogs.

The nice thing about Linkedin is you have connections to connections. etc......you do not have to work necessarily harder than the celebs to get
a following.

I use tumblr, but mainly because there some image heavy accounts I enjoy following. I post some sketches and some links to my AW but I don't expect anything from it. It seems even less useful than Twitter which seems useless enough.

My son uses tumblr, he likes their humor postings. I guess that's what the high school kids use tumblr for. So... if your artwork is cartoons / humor, maybe that would get you an audience. He's not buying anything on tumblr, though. He laughs at the really funny stuff, maybe shows his friends, and moves on.

I'm going to watch this conversation because I'm curious. I know little to nothing about Tumblr.

i think tumblr has been out for too long. i think it came out before pinterest. and then pinterest took over. as well as twitter and the others. i thought i might get into it, but i get no hits from there near as i can tell. and they force you to watch people post, you need 5 people - and i don't want any.
