Calendars....again.

I'm wondering if we can get a definite yes or no on whether FAA/Pixels is planning to offer calendars this year. I'm guessing it's a no, since they have been talked about so many times and never materialized. But, I need to start looking for someplace to get them printed and I would hate to get them all designed and ordered only to get an announcement that we have them here now.

Loree, are you planning to buy quantity to resell? I can't imagine that there would be any appreciable margin if purchased here. The other unmentionable place isn't cheap either but I do get direct sales on my calendars there and it costs me nothing but my time.

I would prefer print on demand, since fulfillment is challenging, and even more so when you don't have a permanent home. I've used CafePress and Lulu in the past, but have not been happy with them for different reasons. I'm not looking to make a lot of money off them, but definitely want the ability to customize them with my url so they have some value in terms of marketing. And, if I find a place that does a good job, I will probably order a dozen or so to have on hand when I want to give someone something more than a business card.

Don't know why all my posts are posting twice today.....

The Z quality was OK and they can be customized to add your URL and put more information about your business/yourself on the back page. Not cheap like quantity pricing that others have used.

I'd like to find a good template that uses vertical shots. I can, and probably will, design my own calendars as I've done in the past but I'd like to see examples of vertical image formats.

I'd like to see FAA offer weekly planners. That seems like a good way to promote larger prints and they would be fun to make.

I started to make one there a couple of years ago, but it was such a pain, I abandoned it for somewhere else. I may have to bite the bullet and try again....

Loree & Kathleen,

CP recently discontinued their 11"x17" size calendar for some unknown reason. I'm in my 4th year selling my - niche calendars and was very disappointed about this change.

I can't find any other PoD site that produces large 11x17 (closed dimension)

Do either of you know where else I can go for large format calendars?

ps;
'Z' calendars are labeled as - opened dimensions and it's a bit misleading. Their 14 x 22 is actually only a 11x14 - picture area. Still though, 11x14 is considered large, but just not quite big enough for my customers.

Thanks-

I thought I saw a post from Sean some where that said those were in the works...maybe they just haven't found the right vendor yet

I got them at lulu one year and they were awful. All my photos had a purple tinge to them. Won't be doing that again!

So Abbie, since you are referring us elsewhere, does that mean fuggetaboutit here?

I got a lead on a place called MagCloud today. Looks interesting. Anyone ever used them, or even heard of them?

I love magcloud. All my stuff I give out to interior designers comes from there. Cheap (relatively speaking), dead on prints, great finishing. Good outfit I say.
