Trouble When I Paste Images

When I try to copy and paste a new image in forum or anywhere, I have to keep going back and forth, pressing F5. Still, I keep posting the old picture from 5 tries back! I had this issue with an old computer a few years back and I think that someone called it a 'sticky paster' and told me how to fix it. Can not find it in the discussions and do not remember what to do. Anyone? Thanks

Phyllis - sounds like you need to clear your cache - maybe even restart your computer. I always use the Ctrl C to copy and the Ctrl V to paste. I also usually have two tabs open - one where the image is and one on the forum thread.

I've no clue what f5 does. LOL

F5 is for refreshing the page. That has nothing to do with copying and pasting an image! Are you using the embed link under the description of your image to copy from?

Embed code>ctrl+c(copy)>ctrl+v(paste)

Yes, ctrl+c - ctrl+v

O.K. Just cleaned my browsing history, that did not help either.

What happens when you try to copy and paste in the forum? Did you try right clicking to copy and paste?

Jessica, when I try to place an image of my work somewhere, like in this discussion, what happens is I have to do it over and over and over until I am not getting the previous image that I posted. Usually, it takes 4 or 5 tries. Very frustrating. I know nothing of right clicking!

Are you able to copy and paste text? It could be a problem with Malware or your clipboard etc..If you are not familiar with the right-clicking feature on your mouse I don't think you will be able to solve this problem. I would recommend getting some tech help!

Phyllis,

try using the browser's copy and paste.
For example, on Safari, the drop down menu on the right will show copy and paste buttons

I stopped using the keyboard because it would occasionally erase the code and replace it with the letters I typed.

Your computer isn't copying the new code. Mine sometimes does this, but not that many times. Nothing to do with cache or the site... its your clipboard.
You can google "not copying to clipboard" followed by the operating system you're using to find some possible fixes.

Thanks all. Was hoping that it was something simple enough for me to figure out but alas, not so with my lack of computer knowledge. Thank God that I am still under warranty with the Geek Squad! Will call them tomorrow.
