they were a fast hitter too... i never got a chance to see if they uploaded anything.

just like emailing, at the very least there should be a throttle to prevent this kind of spamming.

I got a weird email last week. At first it seemed like a compliment of my work, but then it went on and on about her troubles and how I could help if I donated $1. That was a first for me to receive one like that through FAA. I did not reply.

As technology improves, I wonder when the cattle prod interface will be available.

Sean could write a subroutine that, as soon as a spam message is sensed being typed, a shock could be sent to the cattle prod interface, zapping the spammer in the process.

Might be useful.

I vote we put Dan in charge of the internet.

Maybe the cattle prod interface will be available with the next edition of Google Chrome, since they can now eavesdrop on private conversations in front of personal computers, without your knowing or agreeing to it apparently.

Dan are you calling me a spammer, because currently my image is at the bottom of this thread? Posting images to a thread that is asking you to post images is not spamming.

no, we are talking about a person who called themselves a spammer then spammed a dozen or so threads in about a minute.

Mike the name Spammer is added to their name once they are caught so we know they have be removed from the site and their account is closed I do not think they called themselves a spammer.

is that the code? ah... makes more sense then them doing it themselves.

Why are there spammers anyway? I have been getting so many more spam emails from my FAA contact from visitors. A real human has to punch in the CAPTCHA and text the email. Why bother, what is the gain???

Thanks Mike, what a relief, I have been called a spammer by some in the past, but it's not true. Plus I just upgraded my account to premium and I don't want to risk that. They say the 3rd time around is a charm, we'll see.lol

Kinda like the years I had an admirer named Stalker Bob. He did not call himself Stalker but it was easier for the rest of us to know which Bob we were referring to.

You can tell the inactive members because they sometimes have spammer comments left on their images.

spammers hope to find suckers. they make an account, the bot does the rest. provide limits for new people and the problems stop.

@mario, the only real time it can be called spamming is when someone image bombs a thread with a totally random image that has nothing to do with the question, and often no one else is posting images, only that one person. and done repeatably, its spam. if they say post a picture - then post a picture.

Suggestion: If you find a spammer comment in a thread, then email a moderator privately. That's what I did, and it works.

Now let's use this space to discuss some more prize winning spam recipes.
