Mixing Things.

Hi all, I have only been a member on FAA for 4 weeks and have made 3 sales with only 17 images posted, this is because i have only been drawing landscapes in pencil since 2013. Before that I used to do a lot of the iconic stars, ie Elvis, Beatles, Bono, Laurel and Hardy etc,in ink and pencil. Do you think it would be advisable to put them up on my page to show my versatility or should i just leave it to my landscapes, and yes I do realise i can create galleries. Regards Dave.

I think diversity is a good thing, some don't. I would just add another gallery on your page and sell them, why not. 3 sales in 4 weeks and some people are here for years before they get even one sale, I think you're off to a good start. :)

Dave do you have written permission to use the images of these celebs? Not that lack of that stops some people.

Congrats on your sales.

3 sales in your first four weeks with only 17 images is darned good. I didn't make my first sale until my fourth month when I had 100 images. In my first year I only had 5 sales total.

I see no reason to limit yourself to selling landscapes. The more you have to offer the more sales potential you have.

most stars - still have copyrights to those that have rights to them - like their families. and while many say just go for it, i don't know how that will haunt you in the future. your probably safe with laurel and hardy, but i don't know if there is still a market for them. if you have other things i'd post those so it doesn't stray too much from the path, since this one is working.
