Thanks, guys and gals. I think she may buy another - if not from me, from someone else. She was VERY happy so the quality of the print and the service must have been exemplary.

It was this one, Marlene. And I have to say I was just thrilled when I got the sale as it's really a personal favorite. I try to only upload images I think would make good prints, but there are some where I say to myself, "THIS will sell." Of course, they seldom do LOL But this is one where that happened.

Follow-up.
The buyer had mentioned that she wanted another piece the same size and would take a look at the rest of my France gallery. I replied that should she find something in color but want a black and white conversion, I would be happy to do that for her consideration. She did, I did, I let her know, she bought :)



I was worried that she would be disappointed by a "pairing" of the two, so I pointed out that both the scale and the textures of the two images are quite different. When she bought the second piece, she said that the pieces would be part of a large grouping that will include pieces of various sizes, both photographic and non-photographic and that they would not be hung side by side. So I feel certain that this will work for her and that she will be as pleased as I am :)

eta Oh, and I just realized I have just broken into the elite "sold one the day of upload" circle :)

Another update on this one. In response to a follow-up query as to whether the second print (Azay-le-Rideau) had arrived, I had another note from the buyer.

"Yesterday... and it is even more beautiful in person.. The contrast between shadow and light takes my breath away.. I am having them both framed this week... Exciting!! Thanks again for the black and white edit."

This should be the end of this saga - unless, of course, she sends me a photo of the installation which would be very cool.
