Some Great Historical Wwii Photos From Oregon

Unfortunately the Daily Maul didn't give a link to the original source, but here are some great photos from the remains of a facility established for the defense of the west coast against any potential Japanese invasion during WWII.

I just thought I'd share with those of us obsessed with rust, decay and 20th Century history...

It's a bit disingenuous of the photographer to say that the site has been forgotten. I've been there, as have hordes of other people, and I'm sure many of us have very similar shots of the location. It's near the aviation museum, and there is another site out there very similar to it that is close to a military museum. In fact, I've used some of the pictures I've taken there as texture images in my digital paintings. They are great places to get pics of rusted metal and decaying wood. I'll have to search through my files and find some.
