How To - Change/add Prices

To have work on sale you need to have prices on them.

There are four ways of adding prices to your work

UPLOADING As you upload the work you can see the pricing areas. These are for your markup. What YOU wish to earn
DEFAULT SETTINGS in your Behind the Scenes you can see Default Settings. Set these for all future work you load. That way the prices will be ready populated as you upload.
GLOBAL PRICE EDIT If you wish to price already loaded images and you have a lot, use this.
EDITING Edit the image and change the pricing (don't forget to click SUBMIT to save the changes)

Global price edit is on your images page, it then takes you to http://fineartamerica.com/controlpanel/bulkeditprices.html

Step 1. Go to Behind the Scenes / Artwork

Step 2. Click on new Global Price Update button

Step 3. Click on Show all images

Step 4. Check Image box to display images to be updated

Step 5 - 1. Check Select all ### images on ###pages box OR select the images that you would like to update.

• If you don’t select , only the images on the page that is showing will be updated.

• If you place a check beside the images you want to update, only those images will be updated

Step 5 – 2. Click on Edit Checked Images Simultaneously when you have made your selections

Step 5 -- 3. Deselect or select the products you do, or do not, want to change

Step 6 – 1. Enter your new prices

Step 6 – 2. Press submit to proceed with update. If you don’t press submit, no changes will be saved.

You’re done.

• You should receive a message saying that the update has been applied successfully.

You have to still make changes to your default settings. This bulk update only applies to existing images.

Thank you for this, however, I am still having a problem with it adding the new products to my existing images.

Even though I have gone through this process, my images that were online before the introduction of pillows, duvet covers, etc, do not show the prices for those products or for licensing as stock images.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Thank you! I guess I just needed to give it a little time for the change to take effect. Sorry for being a Nervous Nellie. ;)

Have a great evening!

Is there a way to select ALL images? It seems it is letting me do 25 images at a time. This can take me a while . . .

Is there any way to define selling prices as a factor times the FAA base cost? In other words, I want my selling prices to show up as 154% of the FAA cost, without my having go in and do the math and enter a dollar markup for every possible size on every product for dozens and dozens of images.

The reason is that I'm selling all these images at a charity event, and the charity takes 35% of each sale. I'm not trying to make any money, I just want to break even on each transaction.

Does anybody know an automated way to set prices to accomplish this?

Do you have to change the prices manually, or is there a way to apply the default prices to existing images to avoid the duplicated effort? Seems like this would be a simple option to program in and would be very useful when you decide to change your default pricing and need to update your portfolio.
