Artist Signature Clipped Dilemma For "other" Faa Products

This question is for artist's with signed artwork that have played around with (or do) put their images on pillows, bedspreads, now the tote bags..etc. Although I personally would love to have my artworks on these products, my signature is cropped off on a lot of my images when I go up to the bleed lines. I have asked myself if anyone would even purchase pillows, etc. with an artist name on them and the answer is I don't really know. As an artist, I really don't want my signature to not show on my work. My question is are there any other artist's that feel the way I do or have ran into this hump? If so what have you decided? To have your name on your work for these "other products" or to not participate in selling these items altogether? I do realize that sales potential would possibly be greater for me but with my name removed but I am very undecided as to do that. Show of hands, I guess for anyone with advice on this subject or anyone who has taken the plunge to go for it, either way (with or without a visible artist name). Also, how have sales been? Thanks

I want a discreet signature on prints/canvas that are going to hang on a wall as Art but I do not think it necessary on products or even wanted, imo.

edit: I think you can upload a different image on products if you need too...I think? Yep, just double checked myself. You can.

I'm with Melissa on this one.

I see my signature as necessary on a print, but for some reason on a product it is of not much concern to me.
Perhaps it is because I am too lazy to upload another re -signed image .

When life is less hectic I may rethink that one.

I guess you have to ask yourself what is the point of the signature? Is for marketing purposes? Does it add value? Does the buyer care? Will the buyer point to the signature on your phone and brag to their friends?

Some artists could sell items with just their signature. There is a Picasso car for example. And the other night on late night tv I saw an art auction where they were selling a terrible Dali drawing that looked like a kid drew it but it had a giant Dali signature on it and the auctioneer kept pointing to it as if that was the only thing any one would care about.

I like having a signature on art prints. Especially since they do not print our name on the back anywhere. Just in case the buyer forgot who the artist was,and much later wanted to look for more images, at least a name is on there somewhere. I have found with the pillow that the way the crop needs to be if very often cuts the signature in half. I really do not want to have to go to the extra work to upload separate images for products. I may do future uploads with not signature.

I didn't think about the uploading of separate images. I guess it's all about preference as with some images I may now do this with then others I'm not ... Thanks again for the responses.

its the main reason i fade them. even if snipped, you may not see it. until we can have layers and templates on this site, where we could adjust where the sig goes, it will just be cut off. just like words and sayings on the image.

you may get more business by putting your name on there. i doubt that even if i signed it by hand, a duvet would go up in value over the years.
