Replacing Old Images Of Paintings With Higher Resolution Images.....

Linda Brody1 Second Ago

I got a new camera this past January, and am replacing higher resolution images of my watercolor paintings. The issue I have, is that when I replace an old image with a new, high resolution image, I do keep all my comments/likes/favs/views, but the AVAILABLE PRINT SIZES does not change.

So, here is a replaced image.... with the old sizing: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/violet-iris-flower-with-leaves-linda-brody.html

And here is the same image with slightly different name with the new sizing: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/violet-iris-flower-with-leaves-in-high-resolution-linda-brody.html

When you "edit image".... should'nt the image sizes change?

Thank you for your help. I do not want to loose all my previous comments/likes/faves/etc...

Have you put prices on the larger sizes? If so they should show up.

My prices are set for all sizes in Default Settings..... so it seems that they should just show up. One gal on one of the Groups, said she had no problems.....?

Also, it doesn't show the new image size, it still has the pixel size for the old image, so the boxes for the adding pricing are not shown......

You can replace images without losing everything else. It does take a few minutes for the system to show the new thumbnails.

I did this several days ago..... and the system has not changed....

Since you posted about duplicate images in another thread, I have to wonder if you accidentally uploaded all of those images anew, rather than edit each existing image to upload the new versions.

Have you checked to see if your camera is set to take @ the highest resolution ?

I believe mine has three settings.

The duplicate images are showing up in my "Photo - Flowers" Gallery, and the images with the resolution problems are showing in my "Watercolors - Flowers" Gallery.

TWO Separate issues...

It could be that the Default settings are for new uploads. Replacing an image may not count as a new upload, so you'd have to add prices manually to the sizes that weren't available for the original.
